What to Expect During a Home Remodel: A Week-by-Week Breakdown

Thinking about a remodel but not sure what to expect? Whether you’re planning a kitchen upgrade or a whole-home renovation, having a clear sense of the timeline can ease stress and help you feel prepared.

Here’s a general week-by-week breakdown of what a typical mid-sized remodel might look like with AZ Worker Bees:

Week 1: Prep & Demo

  • We protect your floors, seal off work zones, and prep the space.
  • Then comes demolition—out with the old cabinets, flooring, tile, or walls.

Tip: Make sure your pets and valuables are out of the way this week. It gets loud and dusty.

Week 2–3: Behind the Walls

  • We install new plumbing, electrical, or HVAC—depending on your project scope.
  • Licensed professionals handle this work, and inspections are scheduled as needed.

Week 4: Drywall & Texture

  • The space starts to take shape again! We hang drywall, apply texture, and prep for paint.

Week 5–6: Flooring, Cabinets, and Trim

  • New floors go in.
  • Cabinets and built-ins are installed.
  • We add trim, baseboards, and other finishing touches.

Week 7: Paint, Fixtures & Final Touches

  • Walls get painted.
  • Light fixtures, hardware, and plumbing fixtures are installed.
  • We do a thorough clean-up and prepare for your walkthrough.

Week 8: Final Walkthrough & Punch List

  • We walk the job with you and make sure every detail is right.
  • Small tweaks or touch-ups happen before we call it done.

🐝 Trust the Process

Remodels vary based on the size, complexity, and any surprise repairs—but you’ll always know what to expect. With AZ Worker Bees, you get clear, consistent communication and reliable craftsmanship from start to finish.
